Before & After // Modern Lake house reveal

It’s been almost one year since we first met our clients who were looking to reimagine their lakehouse to better suit their family’s needs. The kitchen and dining areas were completely separated from the living room which wasn’t ideal for entertaining and spending time together.

The interior space was completely reworked to create an open concept living space, larger bathrooms, easier access to the yard with new French doors off the kitchen and a special nook for their sweet French bulldog, Ryder.

After photo of kitchen reveal with white cabinets, grey counter tops and a copper apron front sink.

Before: The wall separating the kitchen from the sunken living room completely blocked the sight lines and felt disconnected.

After: With the wall removed and the floor level raised in the sunken living room, natural light floods throughout the space and feels twice the size.

Kitchen remodel with white cabinets, brick backsplash and concrete look countertop.

Before: The kitchen was in great condition but was outdated and felt cramped.

After: French doors were added where the sink once stood to open onto a new entertaining deck and allows access straight from the kitchen to the sunny, south facing yard.

White panelled fridge and coffee bar

Before: A small doorway lead off the foyer into the cramped kitchen with room for a small table that did not allow the family to eat together at the same time.

After: The fridge and microwave were kept in the same spot for easy access off the new entertaining deck but was completely transformed with a new panelled fridge and built in microwave and appliance garage.
